Abu Dhabi completes electronic AIP installation

The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) of the United Arab Emirates became the first Middle East air navigation service provider to publish an Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP) in electronic format .

The GCAA site accepted the fully integrated CADAS AIM(Aeronautical Information Management)  supplied by Comsoft in Abu Dhabi. Comsoft’s AIXM 5.1 database and charting components are able to exchange data automatically via open standards and share data with other aeronautical applications.

AIXM 5.1 database is suitable for both static and dynamic data and anticipates future applications like the Digital NOTAM office.

This sophisticated AIM solution enables the fusion of dynamic (e.g. NOTAM) and static aeronautical data (e.g. eAIP). Choosing our future AIM solution, the user will be prepared for the coming Aeronautical Information Management era without the need of changing his established and proven workflows.
