Mubadala launches manufacturing company

Mubadala Development says it has formed a new company called Strata that will manufacture advanced composite aerostructures including fairings, ailerons, spoilers and assemblies for Airbus and ATR regional aircraft from 2010 onwards.

Construction of the composites plant will begin June 29, while manufacturing will start in Q4 2010. Strata has formed industrial partnerships with aerospace companies including EADS, Airbus, FACC and Alenia Aeronautica, and has initial contracts with them for more than $2bn, AME Info has reported.
