Qatar in new codeshare agreement with Gol

Qatar Airways has entered a new codeshare agreement with Brazilian carrier Gol.

The agreement means Qatar Airways is adding 48 Brazilian destinations to its code. The two airlines will also look to sign a frequent flyer exchange programme to allow Gol’s Smiles members and Qatar Privilege Club customers to earn and redeem miles on flights operated by both carriers.  

The agreement comes six month after inaugurating flights from Qatar’s capital Doha to Sao Paulo.  

Gol's current codeshare partners are American, Delta, Aeromexico, Air France-KLM and Iberia, making Qatar Airways its sixth partner.
