Recaro to show new economy seat at Aircraft Interiors Expo

Seat specialist Recaro is to launch a new economy class seat Basic Line 3520 which it says reduces the weight of each seat unit to less than 11kg – making it 30 per cent lighter than the previous model.

The new seat will be seen at this year's Aircraft Interiors Expo which takes place in Hamburg in April.

Recaro is making seats for a number of the MEnA carriers including Qatar Airways.

The weight saving on the new seat  was achieved by combining high-tech materials with intelligent design. 

Another key feature of the new seat is that it offers passengers more living space by including a higher literature pocket which is positioned above the tray table instead of in the knee area.
