Paris Air Show: DHL confirmed as official freight forwarder for BIAS 2014 &

With the third edition taking place 16-18 January 2014, the agreement follows DHL’s participation at both the 2012 and 2010 events and will see an enhanced presence at the next two shows.

Malcolm Macbeth, VP DHL aviation for Middle East and Africa and Bahrain’s Minister of Transportation and member of the Supreme Organising Committee of BIAS 2014, HE Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed signed the sponsorship contract during the Paris Airshow 2013 in France, where the minister was in attendance to represent BIAS to the international community.

Speaking about the agreement, Macbeth said: “As international specialists  we are delighted at this opportunity to be the official logistics partner of the Bahrain International Air Show, a world-class event that has a high level of participation from airlines all around the world. We look forward to a great event and a strong outcome.

The minister added: “DHL has a long established reputation in Bahrain. Its strategic location in the Arabian Gulf makes it a hub for global logistics. The commitment demonstrated by DHL is yet another endorsement for the show as a leading business-to-business event for the Middle East and beyond.”
