The event will feature the first ever brokerage market in the Gulf, said co-organisers ADAC.

With more than 8,000 visitors expected and 20,000 sq meters of floor space allocated entirely to the market, Abu Dhabi Air Expo is aiming to offer buyers and sellers of general aviation aircraft maximum deal making potential.

"To complement the brokerage market, Abu Dhabi Expo will feature both an outdoor exhibition and static aircraft display.  Geared towards the private owner, exhibitors will showcase the latest general aviation products and services including flight schools, equipment, accessories and financing solutions," a statement from the organisers said.

The static aircraft display will feature a wide range of 150 general aviation and business aviation aircraft from helicopters and ultra light jets through to transcontinental range jets. Uniquely, exhibition tents are placed right alongside the static aircraft display affording visitors the opportunity to admire the latest products and talk with exhibitors simultaneously.

"Given the growth trend in the aviation industry in the region, bringing the Air Expo to Abu Dhabi is a natural evolvement," the statement said.

Al Bateen Executive Airport is at the heart of the capital of the United Arab Emirates, offering excellent weather and ideal flying conditions for the planned date.  "Visitors can take advantage of the particularly mild temperatures and excellent weather in early March affording aircraft owners, operators and brokers the opportunity to explore the latest products, innovations and deals on offer in the general aviation market," the statement said

“We are delighted to be hosting the first Abu Dhabi Air Expo. Expo 2012 is an ideal opportunity for owners, operators and brokers to discover what’s new in the general aviation market and to generate good business deals,” said, Yousif AL Hammadi, chairman of Abu Dhabi Air Expo, deputy general manager Al Bateen Executive Airport.
