Libya receives first Antonov Air Ambulance
The Ukraine is to supply two air ambulance versions of the Antonov An-74 aircraft to Libya within a year, says Dmytro Kiva CEO of Antonov state aircraft-building corporation
The first An-74-TK-300 aircraft (VIP version) arrived in Libya on at the end of last month.
"This is the first aircraft supplied by the Kharkiv state aviation manufacturing company in two years," says Kiva.
The second An-74s, worth around $15million, is expected to be delivered to Tripoli by the end of the year with perhaps a third aircraft in 2010, reported The Tripoli Post.
