Royal Jordanian completes cabin modernisation on first A340

The programmed is aimed at extending the fleets service until Royal Jordanian’s Boeing 747s arrive.
It has replaced the 229 economy-class seats on the aircraft with those featuring an in-flight entertainment system from Zodiac Aerospace unit Sicma Aero Seat.
The 24 business-class seats have also been modified to accommodate the touch-screen Seat Integrated Technology product which includes audio- and video-on-demand services.
Royal Jordanian is starting modification of a second A340 today and expects all four of the jets in its fleet to be renovated by mid-December.
Royal Jordanian chief Hussein Dabbas said:
“The updated A340s will continue to operate these services until the airline starts introducing its 11 787s from the end of 2013.”
