DRB gets approval in delegation programme

Aircraft interiors consultancy DRB Aviation Consultants has received FAA approval to operate under the American Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) programme.

ODA is the newest delegation of authority system designed by the FAA and industry leaders to improve the delegation process while providing the FAA and the industry with needed flexibility to manage their priorities more efficiently.

FAA to delegate more responsibility to private industry, helping reduce the FAA’s workload while streamlining aircraft certification and inspection. Under ODA, DRB is allowed to determine compliance and perform certification functions on behalf of the FAA.

Tom Langeland, vice president of operations, said: “This delegation will enable DRB Aviation to fulfill the market demands for safe efficient, and reliable issuance of Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs). We can now provide our customers an alternative that will prove to be more cost effective and timely by developing customized approach to meet their immediate needs.”

The company provides consultancy for business aviation including head of state aircraft.
