Turkish orders Rockwell Collins avionics across the fleet

Turkish Airlines has awarded Rockwell Collins a contract to provide avionics systems for new Boeing and Airbus aircraft it will start to receive next year.

The fleet covered by the contract comprises 20 firm and 15 optioned Boeing 737s and 20 firm and 10 optioned A320 family aircraft. Rockwell Collins is to supply Turkish with its MultiScan hazard detection, traffic collision avoidance, and data-link systems, along with a full suite of its sensors. 

The deal was inked at the Berlin Air Show today by Temel Kotil, chief executive of Turkish Airlines, and Bruno Rambaud, Rockwell Collins’ vice president and managing director for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
