For the American support company, this follows an announcement from Turkish Airlines of a three-year electronic flight bag (EFB) agreement to provide electronic charts and data, plus distribution and management services for its fleet of Boeing 777 aircraft.

For RAM, the Morocco-based airline will integrate numerous Jeppesen applications, including e-Link navigation data, paper manuals and electronic charting service with digital Web access that includes tailored routes and information manuals.

For Turkish, the agreement implements Jeppesen class 3 EFB services that includes airport moving map and charting data. The new digital information service package further enhances Jeppesen’s established level of data service with the airline.

Prior to the new service agreement, Jeppesen previously partnered with Turkish Airlines to provide charting services, including e-Link, flight planning and NavData products. Turkish Airlines also is using the Jeppesen products Carmen Crew Rostering and Carmen Crew Pairing.

“The implementation of the class 3 EFB services is an exciting and important step for our airline,” said Atilla Turker, senior vice president of operational coordination, Turkish Airlines.

“With Jeppesen’s EFB solution, we have established an optimized and certified system to deliver and manage electronic charting and airport moving map data to the cockpit, and our pilots continue to access the high quality charting information they already use in paper format.”
