Gulf Air and Emirates activate codeshare agreement

Gulf Air has commenced its codeshare agreement with Emirates Airlines.

Gulf Air chief executive officer, Captain Waleed Al Alawi said: “It is a major value add to passengers, given the UAE's prestigious position in the global commercial aviation sector.” 

He added: “Entering into this partnership with another highly reputed airline allows us to virtually expand our network, enhance our offerings and provide a more seamless travel experience. With the launch of the new partnership with Emirates, Gulf Air now has codeshare agreements with 17 airline partners.”

The airline recently announced the operation of summer flights to Bodrum in the Republic of Turkey and an increase in the number of flights to Manchester, UK; Manila, Philippines; and Bangkok, Thailand to meet increased demand.
