Tomorrow Gulf Air will be operating a flight between Bahrain, Kathmandu and London Heathrow to transport passengers waiting in Nepal’s capital.

On Friday 23 April another flight will be operated between Bahrain, Kathmandu and Paris Charles De Gaulle airport. as well as operating one additional return flight between Bahrain and Frankfurt.

Gulf Air CEO Samer Majali said, “Our team, drawn from operations, network, airports and other departments, has been working tirelessly ever since the situation has arisen, to take care of the passengers wherever they were stuck and ensure alternate arrangements are made to fly them safely and smoothly as they waited for the airspace to reopen; they have done a great job.”

“I would like to thank the officials of the Bahrain Airport Company, Civil Aviation Affairs and various embassies for their support and assistance during this time.”

“Though it has been a difficult time for airlines affected by this unusual situation that has seen the European airspace closed for such a long time since World War II, passengers are always our first priority. I thank them for their patience, understanding and cooperation,” he concluded.

All passengers who were stranded in Bahrain have left for their destinations since the airline resumed its flights to London, Paris and Frankfurt. The extra flights will make sure the rest of the passengers held up in other airports reach their destinations.
