Etihad Airways release statement regarding weather operational disruption

The restructuring of Saturday night’s operations, including the cancellation of 20 return flights, has resulted in the easing of aircraft congestion at Abu Dhabi Airport as well as allowing other disrupted flights to operate.
Etihad Airways apologises to its passengers for the inconvenience that this major disruption has caused and thanks them for their patience during these extremely challenging few days.
Additional Etihad Airways staff members continue to assist passengers at Abu Dhabi Airport and at local hotels where disrupted passengers have been accommodated. During the past 24 hours the airline has booked disrupted passengers into more than 2,000 hotel rooms in the city.
Those passengers still due to fly to, from, or through Abu Dhabi, up to and including Tuesday 6 January, are still encouraged to rebook their flights through Etihad Airways’ global contact centres, details of which can be found at etihad.com/contacts.
Etihad Airways will waive normal cancellation and refund fees during this period.
Passengers can also call the Etihad Airways Contact Centre on +971 (0) 2 599 0000 or visit etihad.com/flightstatus for more information on the status of flights.
