TATV Insight: Bahrain Airport

Bahrain's new billion-dollar terminal - the largest aviation industry investment in the country's history - is now open for business ahead of an official inauguration later this year.

The Times Aerospace team were among the first to take a guided tour of the facility with H.E. Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, Bahrain’s minister of transportation and telecommunication and Bahrain Airport Company’s CEO Mohamed Yousif Al Binfalah leading the way.

There is immense national pride in this new entry-point for the island state’s trade and tourism ambitions and in this 13-minute tour, TATV host Alan Peaford talks to them both about the background to the project.

We see inside one of the most luxurious premium lounges in the world; we see how Bahrain is handling the PCR covid testing on arrival and we share the disappointment when a major sporting challenge is thwarted by Covid.

This Insight programme is supported by Frequentis. The air traffic management (ATM) solutions and technology company with more than seventy years of ATC experience.
