Mark Pierotti appointed visiting professor for University of South Wales Dubai

The University of South Wales (USW) Dubai has appointed Dr Mark Pierotti PhD, as a Visiting Professor for the Dubai campus.

 

An experienced airline and aviation CEO and COO, Dr Pierotti is currently a director at Abu Dhabi Aviation.

He holds a Fellowship of the Royal Aeronautical Society of GB, membership of the Engineering Council of the UK, and is also a Scottish Government Industrial Ambassador (Global Scot) for Aviation & Education, having lectured on aeronautical engineering, aircraft maintenance engineering, aviation operations and aviation management in universities across the UK and the UAE.

In his role as visiting professor for the University of South Wales Dubai, Dr Pierotti will be looking to inspire students and give them an insight into the practicalities behind the theory.

“Dr Pierotti’s successful career across airlines, aviation and engineering will be an invaluable asset to our students. He has over thirty years of industry knowledge to impart to students who are keen to learn,” commented Professor Julie Lydon, Vice-Chancellor, USW. “Having worked with some of the major players in the aviation industry, we have developed sector-leading skills with an international reputation.
