Ethiopian Airlines help airlift relief goods to Ethiopia

Ethiopian Airlines and Airbus in partnership with Aviation Sans Frontieres and Pablo Horstmann Foundation have transported humanitarian goods onboard two new Airbus A350-900 aircraft delivered to Ethiopian on 6 November 2020.

The humanitarian shipment, took off from Toulouse, France to Addis Ababa, loaded with approximately 5 tons of cargo consisting of medical and IT equipment. The goods will support the work of the Federal Ministry of Health in Ethiopia and The Pablo Horstmann Foundation, which runs Children hospital in Ethiopia.

Ethiopian Group CEO Tewolde GebreMariam said, “As an airline committed to social responsibility, we have been ferrying humanitarian shipments as part of our initiatives to give back to society. The humanitarian aid we are carrying with the delivery of the two new Airbus A350-900 aircraft is an extension of our social commitments. I would like to thank Airbus for joining us in this noble initiative as it has been doing in the past.”
