AVIATION AFRICA POSTPONED UNTIL OCTOBER

The Aviation Africa Summit and Exhibition – Africa’s largest top-level conference and exhibition event – has been postponed until October following meetings between organisers Times Aerospace Events and the government of Rwanda.

The event, which was due in July, will now take place in Kigali on October 14-15, 2021.
“Although we were confident Rwanda, and the venue in Kigali, have excellent Covid protocols in place, we felt there is still enough uncertainty around the region along with travel restrictions by some governments, that could impact many of those people who we know want to come to the event,” said Mark Brown, managing director of Times Aerospace events.
This year’s summit is focusing on the revival of the industry for existing players and the many start-ups that are emerging from the pandemic situation and will be welcoming experts from around the world with active participation from Africa’s aviation and aerospace leadership from airlines, operators, airports, air navigation providers, regulators, manufacturers and government.
This is the sixth edition of the annual event which anchors to Kigali every two years before moving elsewhere on the continent in alternate years.
