Business and private aviation is back for the UAE. After a 12-week ban on the sector across the emirates, the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has lifted the restrictions.

On Sunday the regular announced the change, much to the delight of the founding chairman of the Middle East Business Aviation Association (MEBAA) which is headquartered in Dubai.
“This is made possible as a result of our consistent effort and dialogues with the GCAA over the last period,” Ali Alnaqbi said. “It is the most welcome news after what our industry has been through over the past 12 months.”

Alnaqbi said there will be government guidelines for passengers and operators. “While adhering to the ‘new normal’ guidelines, we are hopeful that our industry can bounce back stronger,” he said.
