If there was any doubt that the Middle East business aviation sector is on the crest of a wave, then the opening day of the MEBAA Show proved the industry is investing in its future.

Bombardier started the day with news of a new customer support centre to be built in Abu Dhabi. The facility will be large enough to handle four of the largest of the Bombardier fleet – the Global 7500s.

Comlux also broke the ground on a new hangar facility at the Mohammed bin Rashid Hub for cabin upgrades and maintenance.

OEMs Embraer and Airbus have positive outlooks for sales in the regional market while Textron saw ink on paper for medevac aircraft for Saudi Arabia. Bringing the Citation Latitude to the Middle East for the first time.

With a real busy buzz around the show there’s plenty to read in today’s SHOW BUSINESS.
