Emirates offers unpaid leave to pilots and cabin crew
Emirates is offering some pilots and cabin crews the option to take four months or less of unpaid leave between August and November while it recovers during the Covid-19 crises.
Emirates has already dismissed hundreds of cabin crew, with the latest wave of redundancies taking place just a couple of weeks ago.
Sir Tim Clark, Emirates’ president said the airline was reviewing its employee headcount on a weekly basis and was aware that forced redundancies were “destroying people’s lives”.
Emirates continues to resume services to multiple countries, despite the financial setbacks.
