Iran and Russia update bilateral agreement
Iranian and Russian authorities have updated the bilateral agreement between their countries, fixing the maximum scheduled flights operated by each side at 28 per week.
The renewed bilateral was signed in September but only released by the Russian federal aviation regulator Rosaviatsia earlier this week.
The agreement said that either side will be free to designate “as many airlines as it wishes” for services on the routes outlined in the agreement.
Iranian carriers will be able to serve Moscow, St Petersburg, Kazan, Ufa, Sochi, Astrakhan and one other Russian city.
The bilateral amendment allows Russian airlines to operate to Tehran, Mashhad, Isfahan, Rasht and three other Iranian airports.
