TATV Spotlight: Texel Air's George Chisholm on Bahrain's cargo boost

International cargo movements from the Middle East and Africa outstripped most of the global markets with double digit growth of 10.6% and 11.3 respectively.

But like many other regions there have been challenges from labour shortages due to Covid quarantines, lack of storage capacity and supply bottlenecks.

In Bahrain, the forward-thinking of the operators and the government to build on the long-time focus on freight at the Kingdom’s airport has seen continuous growth.

Now with the arrival of the first 737-800BCF in the whole region there is even more optimism.

Alan Peaford talks to the managing director of Texel Air, George Chisholm, about the new aircraft, the market outlook and riding the challenges.

Brought to you with the support of the World Defence show, 6-9th March 2022, Saudi Arabia. Register to attend here - registration closes 10th February.
