Syrian heads east as it suspends failing European routes
Syria's official news agency, SANA has reported that its national airline, Syrian Arab Airlines, is to switch its attention east - and drop failing European routes.

The news agency qutes commercial director, Nasser Qaydaba, as saying that it plans to open new services to India, Shanghai and Manila via the UAE. The airline is also increasing frequency of its flights to Antalya and Jeddah while suspending Damascus flights to Milan and Marseille.
