Safi Airways to fly nonstop from Beijing to Kabul

Beijing will be Safi Airways’ sixth international destination and the first Far East city on the young carrier’s route map. The new flights mark the first nonstop link by any airline between the Chinese and the Afghan capital cities.  

The airline will operate modern Airbus A340-300 aircraft on the route, featuring 30 sleeper seats in Business Class with 140 cm leg room, 28 seats in a Premium Economy cabin and 227 seats in Economy.  

Dieter Hofele, Safi Airways’ General Manager for China said: “With China’s significant investment in mining and infrastructure projects in Afghanistan, a growing number of Chinese expats working in and around Kabul will benefit from the new route. We are very excited to bring this new service to Beijing, which will further help strengthening the economic and political ties between the neighboring countries of China and Afghanistan”.  

Safi Airways’ flight 4Q 88 is planned to depart Kabul at 9.00am on Tuesdays and Saturdays, arriving Beijing’s Capital International Airport at 17.00h on the same day. The return flight 4Q 89 will depart Beijing also on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 18.30h, arriving Kabul’s Khwaja Rawash airport the same evening at 21.30h local time.  

At Beijing, Safi Airways’ flights will operate at BCIA’s state-of-the-art Terminal 3, offering convenient connections to and from an extensive range of destinations in China, Japan, Korea and even the Canadian and the U.S. West Coast. Safi Airways has interline agreements with Air China, Hainan Airlines, United Airlines, Delta and Lufthansa.
