Ethiopian to launch Brazil routes

Ethiopian Airlines is to open a new route in July that will offer new connections between Africa and South America.

The airline will be flying to Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo from 1 July with a stop in Lome, Togo.
It is planning a circular route from Addis to Lome, Lome to Rio’s Galeao airport, Rio to St Paulo’s Guarulho airport, St Paulo to Lome and then back to Addis.
It will operate the route three-times per week using its new Boeing Dreamliner.
"Our new Brazil flights will provide efficient connections with 28 weekly flights to four destinations in China, 14 weekly flights to the two major cities in India, daily flights to Lebanon, five weekly flights to Tel Aviv and almost daily flights to 45 cities across Africa," a statement from Ethiopian said.
