Bahrain Airshow: Yemenia chief says UK ban to be resolved quickly

Captain Abdulkhalek Al-Kadi, Chairman and CEO of Yemenia said at the Bahrain Airshow today that assessors from the UK are in Yemen already preparing their report on the airline's security systems.

All direct flights from Yemen to the UK were banned yesterday.

Al Kadi said he hoped flights would be able to resume within the next seven to ten days. "We already have the assessors with us and are cooperating in every way. I am confident that this is just a short-term thing," he said.
