Piper in tune for push into Middle East and Africa

Piper Aircraft which features a range of general aviation aircraft and soon will have a Very Light Jet on the market is stepping up its marketing to attract Middle Eastern and African business

Today, Piper named experienced international sales executive Enrico Evers as director of Sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa. He will work with Piper dealers and agents throughout those regions of the world from his office at Lelystad Airport, near Amsterdam in the Netherlands.


“Enrico will be developing long-term Piper sales and assisting the dealer network,” said Piper Executive Vice President Randy Groom. “He will work to ensure that Piper has strong representation throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa by developing relations with and recruiting dealers and agents in this important part of the world.”


Evers has more than 20 years of aviation experience and has been involved in aircraft sales activity involving a number of aircraft models, including Lancair, Beechcraft and Cessna in addition to a period working for Piper Germany. He has also been responsible for fleet operations involving Falcon Jets. I


Groom said Evers brings a passion for aviation and successful general aviation sales experience to Piper Aircraft. Evers holds a FAA PPL Single and Multi Engine Land, IFR and a European JAR/FCL SEP including CRI (Class Rating Instructor) and TMG (Touring Motor Glider). He has also completed Beech King Air B200 training at FlightSafety. Evers studied commercial economics at Hanse College in the Netherlands.
