Abdul Aziz has been working with Oman Air for over 26 years. He started his stint with Oman Air as an engineering trainee at the engineering and training division, and later moved on to become taircraft engineer. Rising steadily in his career at the airline, he became senior engineer - hangar supervisor and then senior manager - base maintenance. The position that he served prior to his current posting was as senior manager - technical projects.

In his new position, he will continue being involved in all technical projects involving all new aircraft being acquired by Oman Air. As part of the senior management Team, Abdul Aziz will acquire a better knowledge of senior management work and bring into the team his entrenched knowledge of the industry. His expanded role highlights the important Omanisation drive at the most senior management level of the organisation.

Commenting on Abdul Aziz Al Raisi’s appointment as Chief Officer Management Affairs, Peter Hill Chief Executive Officer said:

“Abdul Aziz has proven his mettle as an effective and dedicated manager at Oman Air. He has risen up the ladder through his sustained performance, including the great work he has undertaken in the acquisition by Oman Air of its Airbus wide-bodied aircraft. Oman Air’s Board of Directors and senior management are very happy with Abdul Aziz’s new posting as Chief Officer Management Affairs. We believe he will add a new perspective to our vision and are positive he will continue assisting Oman Air effectively in its expansion plans.”
