New CCO for Wataniya Airways

Wataniya Airways’ chief executive, George Cooper said: “I am delighted that David Evans has joined our team as he brings with him a wealth of commercial aviation experience that will support us as we progress to the next phase of our planned development in the region and help us to become the airline of choice for the sophisticated Kuwaiti traveller.”
Evans previously held the position of chief operating officer at Zambian Airways, where he was appointed by the United Nations under the UNDP programme to establish the airline as a viable carrier. Before joining Zambian Airways Evans spent more than thirty years at British Airways where he held posts of managing director of BA Connect followed by managing director of BA CityFlyer.
Evans said: “Wataniya Airways offers a truly unique flying experience and I am pleased to be associated with this unique new venture. I am proud to be joining the team at such an exciting stage of its development and am looking forward to utilising my international experiences in the Kuwaiti market which has so much potential.”
