From its headquarters in Dubai  Jetex has grown from a regional ground handler in the Middle East and Africa to a Global Flight Support provider with more capabilities and people in more key locations.  As a part of its expansion, Jetex has opened a new FBO in Paris, a new satellite operations center in Kiev, and is investing heavily in several new technologies to be able to support its clients in more ways.

“We are well positioned for the future and making the kinds of investments that will benefit our clients in the long run,” said company CEO Adel Mardini.  “Even though there was a dip in the economy early in the year, we are still seeing the need for high-end VIP services, so we intend to set ourselves apart by bringing more value to our clients.”

Among its achievements in 2009, Jetex opened its first European FBO at Paris Le Bourget at during the Paris Air Show in June.  This new facility is unlike other FBOs because of its extensive lounge space and expansive amenities.  “It is our mission to set new standards for quality and service, so we have selected the world’s busiest business jet airport to make that statement to the world,” said Mr. Mardini.

With a staff of 22, the Jetex FBO in Paris has focused on providing very high-end services that are turning first-time passengers into repeat customers.   TAG Aviation, Geneva, recently issued this statement that the “newly opened FBO in Paris Le Bourget has been selected as our preferred supplier, after a sharp review of their facilities, and the quality of service received has proven to meet our expectations.”

Another major development for Jetex in 2009 was the opening of a new satellite support center in Kiev, Ukraine, staffed with 27 dispatchers and handling experts.  This team is able to provide support across Russia and the countries of the C.I.S, (Commonwealth of Independent States).  “Having people who speak Russian is a significant advantage for anyone flying to this part of the world,” says Patrice Geens, the companies European Director of Business Development. “We are able to get permits and make the kind of arrangements for services that very few others can.”

The company is also announcing at NBAA that is investing in more online tools to support its clients.  To advance its rapidly growing Fuel Program Jetex is developing a secure web portal that will allow clients to shop for - and buy - fuel online.   It is also developing an online flight-planning tool that will give its clients the flexibility to select their own routes, customize their flight plans and see weather and other information.

In addition to technology, the company has placed new representatives in strategic locations around the world to ensure its clients receive the kind of personalised service for which the company has become known.  In North America, the company has hired Otto Wright, as the Director of Business Development to lead a small team responsible for supporting clients doing business with the Dubai based company.

“It is exciting to be a part of such a growing company,” says Mr. Wright, who has extensive experience with ground handling in Eastern Europe and Asia.  “Jetex is made up of exceptionally talented people who are really dedicated to doing great things for our customers.  Because we are positioned so well Internationally, we bring a lot of value to the table.”
