Jet Aviation appoints new VP for Saudi Arabia

Bütschi is based in Jeddah and succeeds interim general manager Frank Kusserow, director FBO Services for EMEA & Asia.
As general manager for Jet Aviation in Saudi Arabia, Bütschi is responsible for overseeing the company’s two FBO and line maintenance operations and will report directly to Christof Späth, senior vice president MRO and FBO services for EMEA & Asia.
Bütschi joined Jet Aviation Geneva in 2004 as director sales and deputy director customer support. In 2007, he was appointed director of sales & customer support of Jet Aviation Dubai, where he promoted the company’s services throughout the Middle East region. With over 20 years in the aviation industry, Bütschi has considerable experience in sales, customer support and marketing. He holds a Master of Science degree in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Wales, United Kingdom.
"Bütschi is leading an excellent management team and dedicated employees,” says Späth. “Coupled with his customer focus and commitment to premium service delivery, I am confident in his ability to meet and surpass customer expectations while continuing our excellent relations with the local business aviation community and our shareholders.”
Jet Aviation was the first foreign business aviation services company to set up an FBO in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It currently operates FBOs in Jeddah and Riyadh, which were established in 1979 and 1983, respectively. Both facilities offer FBO, line maintenance and aircraft-on-ground (AOG) services to private, business and military operators, and each location holds Saudi Arabian PCA licenses. The company enjoys a long-standing and successful joint venture with its Saudi Arabian partners. In April 2011, it moved into a new state-of-the art business aviation terminal in Jeddah.
