EgyptAir new group chairman and CEO to be announced

The EgyptAir Group is set to formally announce a new Chairman and CEO this week.

He is engineer Yehia Zakaria who has been heading the company’s successful maintenance and engineering division for the past ten months.

Zakaria joined the Egyptian Air Force in 1984 after graduating from the Military Technical College and assumed many positions ranging from aircraft engineer to chief engineer for all aircraft types.

He rose through the ranks of the Egyptian Air Force and concluded his service as head of the Aircraft Engineers Division for five years, then assistant to the Air Force Commander before joining EgyptAir Maintenance & Engineering in 2021 as chairman and CEO.
