Dubai 2011: Three new jets raise VistaJet Flohr's business ceiling

The latest acquisitions mean that VistaJet’s fleet will exceed 60 aircraft by 2015, doubling the size of its business today.
Chairman Thomas Flohr said: “This latest order is in response to rapidly growing customer demand in Brazil, Russia, India, and China and the other fast-growth developing markets in which we operate.”
He added that these countries account for over 75% of all the company’s flights. VistaJet also has a strong presence in the Middle East, and Flohr reckoned the Gulf region in particular has seen “tremendous growth” over the last quarter.
He continued: “No company has a higher service area than us outside the US.”
Last month VistaJet took delivery of three new Challenger 605s, in line with its decision to focus on mid-to-large, longer-range aircraft. Flohr said that clients in these regions prefer aircraft capable of flying longer-range sectors, typically of between five and ten hours duration.
VistaJet’s policy is to operate aircraft less than two years old with no single jet being older than three years old. The firm is also due to take delivery of up to six new Learjet 60XRs by the end of the year, as well as the first of several ultra long-range Globals and long-range Challengers.
These form part of an earlier order for 10 Bombardier new Global 6000s and 10 Global 8000s.
