Bahrain Airport appoints Gordon Dewar as new CEO

Mr. Dewar has brought unprecedented growth whilst at the helm of Edinburgh Airport prior to which he occupied the same role at Glasgow Airport. He boasts over 20 years of experience in the transport industry, holding a number of senior management positions with leading transport operators, including commercial, general management and business development roles.
He has vital experience in airport expansion and capacity building having successfully launched a £40m terminal extension at Edinburgh Airport as part of a £300m investment plan he has drawn up.
Mr. Kamal Ahmed, Chairman of Bahrain Airport Company, said: "We are confident that Mr. Dewar has all the right credentials and the relevant experience, especially in managing airport operations and expansions. I trust he will develop on the work that has been done and pursue the strategic plans we have set to realise our vision of a global aviation hub.
