Arinc appoints managing director for EMEA region

ARINC has appointed Andy Hubbard as Managing Director, for its Europe Middle East and Africa region ( EMEA). He will head the company's EMEA Division based in London.

As Managing Director, he is responsible for ARINC’s regional operations, portfolio of services and customers across the region. He formerly served as Senior Director of Avia tion Solutions, EMEA, where he was responsible for the unit’s growth over the past four years and the addition of ARINC Direct and Network Solutions to the ARINC portfolio of services.  

In assuming the new post of Managing Director, Mr. Hubbard succeeds ARINC’s former EMEA Vice President and Managing Director, Dave Poltorak, who has been promoted to Vice President, International Operations in the company’s newly-formed International Division.  

Mr. Poltorak stated, “ Andy Hubbard brings to his new post more than 24 years of broad experience, gained on both the technical and management sides of the airline industry. He is an acknowledged industry expert o n aircraft safety and communications, and since joining ARINC EMEA in 2000 he has been a key contributor to our growth. We look forward with confidence to the leadership he will bring to us in his new position.”

 Hubbard will maintain a focus on airline customers while expanding his responsibility to cover other business lines, including Airport Systems and Security initiatives, and continuing to oversee ARINC’s newly appointed Inmarsat SwiftBroadband Distribution Status.  

He will also work closely with the new ARINC International Division to identify market opportunities, and to launch and support new ARINC products and services.
