The airline is seeking licensed aircraft engineers, maintenance engineers, sheet metal workers and cabin crew, and it says it is looking in Ireland because of its highly skilled and knowledge-based workforce.

Etihad could be at the right place at the right time. Many skilled MRO workers in Dublin may be looking for new opportunities. SR Technics announced plans to close its facility there in February, and latest reports in Dublin's Irish Independent estimate that only around 200 of the facility's original 1,135 jobs may be saved through takeover plans.
