Ruag MRO customers get iPad offer

Business jet operators using Germany's Ruag for key MRO services will be able to keep abreast of the aircraft's maintenance needs with a new specially configured iPad.

Ruag Aviation is based at Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich, and said today that business jet given a free iPad 3 specially configured by RUAG.and allowing typical maintenance documents to be accessed via either WLAN or 4G/3G. This enables the efficient scheduling of maintenance directly from the aircraft, with access to the full array of relevant documents.

“All past maintenance data are also available, making it possible to document and communicate any

technical problems that arise while still in the aircraft. Finally, a complete list of all RUAG contacts

can be viewed at any time on the iPad,” said Ulrich Gehling, General Manager Business Aviation in Oberpfaffenhofen.

“By providing this free service, we are facilitating the cooperation between aircraft operators, their aircraft service technicians and our maintenance specialists.”

This offer will be available until at least the end of 2012.
