Royal Jordanian used to be a regular customer of the MRO (maintenance, repair and over-haul) services provider way back in the 1980s, when the shop supported the RB211 engines powering its Lockheed TriStar airliners.

More recently, the airline had had a first-hand opportunity to find out more about the capabilities and expertise MTU's maintenance arm is offering today: MTU Maintenance Berlin-Brandenburg, a sister company of MTU Maintenance Hannover, had been performing maintenance on the carrier's CF34-10s and provide on-site support for this engine type.
MTU Maintenance is the largest independent provider of commercial engine maintenance services worldwide and operates affiliates in all of the major regions and markets around the globe. The company's new test cell accommodates engines delivering up to 150,000 pounds of thrust.
