Royal Jet cuts prices for Abu Dhabi FBO services

The new structure includes an additional two aircraft classes and a reduction of up to 75 per cent on the technical stop rates.
The new rates come into effect immediately and position the FBO as an even more attractive option for those flying in and out of the UAE capital, Royal Jet said. The biggest savings are for light and medium aircraft operators, which will benefit from reduced technical charges, which start at US$238.
Royal Jet President and CEO Shane O’Hare said the new pricing structure would make the FBO one of the most cost-effective in the Middle East. “The pricing is a direct result of our business realignment programme that commenced last year,” O’Hare said. “This has enabled us to reduce our operational costs at the FBO and we are pleased to be able to pass on those savings to our customers. This highly competitive pricing does not affect the exceptional service for which Royal Jet is renowned and which makes our FBO stand out in the region.”
The handling charges include landing permit, aircraft marshalling, Follow Me service, red carpet, meet and assist, monitoring of Air Traffic Control slots, communication of weather situation/NOTAM, arrival and departure movement messages, arranging refuelling support and coordination with fuel suppliers, provision for use of a headset, start-up signal, and the provision of safety cones and chocks. In addition, the new structure also includes free general administration for technical stops.
Royal Jet said that other advantages of technical stops at the international airport’s FBO include air-conditioning engineering services and round-the-clock landing, parking and departure with no slot restrictions. In addition, turnaround times are among the quickest in the region due to the minimal use of third parties.
