PARIS: Kale signs MOU for P&W components
Turkey's Kale Aero has signed an MoU to create a joint venture for engine component manufacture in Istanbul with US engine-maker Pratt & Whitney
Initially, the new outfit will focus on production manufacturing hardware for the F135 engine powering the F-35 Lightning II aircraft. Its scope will later expand to include metal fabrications and spare parts for the F100, F117 and F119 military engines.
Kale Aero is part of Turkish industrial conglomerate Kale Group and will take a 51% holding in the joint venture, with P&W taking the remainder.
