This new 100-percent subsidiary of Lufthansa Technik has a workforce of approximately 1000 employees. Its home base is at Frankfurt Airport, where it utilises the infrastructure of the former Lufthansa Technik subsidiary Condor/Cargo Technik (CCT) . It has also taken over those departments of Lufthansa Technik that were previously responsible for handling international airlines.

In addition to aircraft maintenance for international customers, LTMI is also responsible for Technical Operations Management, TOM, which was introduced in the fall of 2008. Part of its Total Technical Support, TOM enables Lufthansa Technik Maintenance International to take over the complete maintenance organisation for an airline fleet across its entire station network. This includes deploying a fleet manager at the customer’s location to serve as central contact and coordinator. The web-based management of technical operations enables customers to retain complete control around the clock of all the maintenance services purchased from Lufthansa Technik.

In the long term, Lufthansa Technik Maintenance International will carry out line maintenance for all the types of aircraft that are currently maintained by Lufthansa Technik’s Line Maintenance division.
