The agreement covers heavy maintenance checks on the airline’s B787 fleet and also marks the first time the Jordanian MRO provider will welcome B787s from Europe to its hangars at Queen Alia International Airport in Amman.
It follows a successful partnership over the past three years when TUI had entrusted Joramco with several of its other aircraft, including its narrow-bodied Boeing 737s as well as its Embraer fleet.
Joramco chief executive Fraser Currie said: “We at Joramco are proud to continue building on our strong relationship with TUI Group, who have been a valued customer for several years, trusting us to perform maintenance on aircraft flown into our facilities in Jordan from both the UK and Sweden.
“We were delighted to welcome Boeing 787s from Europe for the first time, which further reaffirms Joramco’s high quality of service and our globally recognized capabilities.”
