Joramco gets heavy with Air Arabia contract

The contract with the Sharjah beased low cost carrier includes heavy C-checks, engine swaps, relevant SBs and Ads, modifications and upgrades.
The agreement was fomally concluded at the MRO event at Dubai Airport Expo last week and the work on the first Air Arabia A320 aircraft has already commenced at the JorAMCo facilities at Queen Alia International Airport in Amman
JorAMCo was the former maintenance arm of Royal Jordanian airline that was separated out as part of the airline’s privatisation plans. Since then it provides heavy base maintenance programs and services, technical support, shop and engineering services to regional and international operators, having established its reputation and competitive edge, as a serious contender for efficient quality service, affordable service and realistic turnaround time.
Air Arabia has launched a Jordanian joint venture company to begin low cost services from Amman and as a result will be operating more aircraft from its base there.
