Gulf Technics achieves quality standard and operational recognition

The scope covers the supply of aircraft components and associated asset management for air transport operations worldwide including the co-ordination of aircraft component repair and overhaul management services.
GT’s Acting CEO Mahmood Al Balooshi said: “Achieving the AS/EN9120 certification will put GT on the map, making us one step closer to reaching our goal and that is to become one of the best MRO providers in the MENA region.”
GT’s achievement in obtaining the AS/EN 9120 as well as ISO 9000:2008 certification will have a substantial impact on the components services that GT offers, setting GT as one of the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQC) certified components provider on the Oasis database.
The Oasis database brings certified aviation, space and defense companies together to deliver higher value services and products at all levels of the supply chain.
The AS/EN 9120 demonstrates to the aviation industry that all GT operations, staff, training, facilities and documentation are maintained according to International Aerospace Standards.
GT is a subsidiary of Bahrain sovereign wealth fund Mumtalakat which also owns Gulf Air. The MRO company provides component services to several airlines in the GCC region, with a multi-million dollar inventory as well as round the clock aircraft on ground (AOG) desk.
