Falcon rethinks DWC completions/MRO facility

“The re-evaluation comes to ensure we have a facility which meets the best, current business case. There are two format options on the table and we are in talks with industry partners to assess a realistic business case before selecting which one to go for. A final decision is likely in Q1 next year,” said Capt. Raman Oberoi.
Meanwhile FAS, which is one of the region’s largest executive MROs performing in-house and third party Part 145 line and base scheduled maintenance and repair with GCAA approvals, says it’s now in talks with Gulfstream with a view to becoming a certified Gulfstream Service Centre.
FAS, which operates a specialised, 106,000 sq ft MRO facility at Abu Dhabi’s Al Bateen Airport, is currently an approved and authorised service centre for Embraer Executive Jets supporting the Embraer Lineage 1000; the Embraer Legacy 600 and the EMB 145 it is also an Authorised Maintenance Centre for Airbus Helicopter, the world’s largest helicopter manufacturer.
