EgyptAir Maintenance and Engineering wins nasair bidding

EgyptAir Maintenance and Engineering has won the bidding to provide heavy checks for five of nasair's A320 aircraft, in a move that suggests a confidence returning to Egypt.

In a statement, the Saudi Arabian low-cost airline said that EgyptAir Maintenance and Engineering had submitted the best prices compared to the other international MRO providers taking part in the bidding, which included MRO service providers from Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

“EgyptAir and all its employees are very happy with this achievement which is not the first in our history,” said Hussein Massoud, EgyptAir Holding chairman & CEO.
 
“EgyptAir Maintenance and Engineering, as being one of the largest MRO providers in the Middle East and Africa, has achieved this step thanks to its 79 years experience in MRO services which qualified it to serve 110 airlines around the globe.”
 
Abdel Aziz Fadel, EgyptAir Maintenance & Engineering chairman & CEO asserted, “We are proud with this bidding and the trust of nasair in our professional maintenance capabilities.”
