The decree, backed by the Egyptian CAA, means that Alkan Air is the only handler in the region (Egypt, Libya, Sudan, Algeria) that offers a complete set of maintenance services, parts and line checks.

As a further back up for operators of King Air and Hawker Beechcraft aircraft, Alkan Air became an authorized Hawker Beechcraft Service Centre in 2002 and has been servicing and maintaining aircraft at it’s Cairo facility since then.

In addition to these services Alkan Air holds a complete portfolio of parts and special tools and is equipped to meet the service needs of any aircraft that arrives at Cairo airport.

Awad Dargham, General Manager of Alkan Air said “We are delighted to receive this Ministerial Decree. It underlines the high levels of quality and service we have been providing for our existing customers and gives assurance to aircraft operators that they will receive specialist, experienced and authorized servicing of their aircraft. We see this as a key part of our future expansion plans and another example of how we continue to set new quality standards in our region.”
