Wreck of South African aircraft found in Mozambique

The wreckage of an aircraft believed to be the Beech Baron ZS-JPG has been found in a remote area of Mozambique.

The twin-engined piston aircraft is thought to be the missing aircraft piloted by Bryan Simms, 60, and his son Robert, 22, from Midrand, Johannesburg. It was reported missing almost four weeks ago.

Eye witness reports say that there are no survivors but the family is waiting for formal information from the Mozambique authotities

The pair had were flying back to Lanseria airport, Johannesburg from Lilongwe, Malawi when contact was lost around 45 minutes from Beira airport, Mozambique.
