MEBA10: Virtual is a real bonus

Jet Aviation is going virtual as it integrates CATIA and Smarteam engineering software into its Basel completions program.

Using CATIA software, the Swiss engineering team is now able to view an entire cabin in a 3-D environment in order to engineer cabinets and structure components and systems for an aircraft. It allows designers to create solutions that are an exact fit to an aircraft virtually.

The software will also assist with wire routing in completions products.
